Computers & Scanner

COMPUTERS:

The Aurora Public Library has 4 computers available for public use.

To use a computer, stop at the front desk to sign a computer use policy, or to let staff know you are signing onto a computer.

You may sign onto a computer for a one hour time block.  This time may be extended if nobody else is waiting.  Staff are available for initial help, and to help with specific questions, but are not available to type documents or to perform work for patrons.

Printouts are 25 cents/page for black-and-white, and $1.00/page for color.  Please ask if you need help with printing so you don't end up paying for a stack of pages you didn't want!  There is no charge for the first 5 pages of homework or job applications/resumes.

Changes may not be made to the hard drive of library computers; if you wish to save work, please bring a flash drive.

SCANNING

The library has a scanner that you may use at no cost to scan pictures and documents up to 8.5" x 11."  If you wish to save the images, you will need to bring a flash drive.  The library has a flash drive you may borrow for in-library use if you wish to save and email a photo or document.  All items saved to the drive will be deleted by the end of the day.
